4. State Hospital

About 2 km distant from the State Power Office to the north is “State Hospital,” a hospital in the heart of woodland with most of the necessary medical appliance. 7. Moo Ban Muan chon (Mass Village)

Housing community of the mass consists of many villages, for example, Dao Daeng Village (the Red Star Village) and Dao Chai Village (the Star of Victory Village). 300 meters away from Phatcharin Base is Lan Hin Taek or the Broken Rock Scenic Point, a wide rock yard covered approximately 64,000 sqm of space. Lan Hin Taek presented distinctive cracks and cavities on the rock surface, some are narrow enough to step over while some are too wide. About the depth of the crack is unexpectable. It presumed that this natural appearance caused by plate tectonics. Additionally, over the area of Lan Hin Taek covered by moss, lichens, fern, algae, and various kinds of orchid, too.

5. Sri Patcharin Waterfall

Named to remembrance to the soldiers from Sri Patcharin Camp in Khonkhaen province which is the first troop to encroach Phu Hin Rong Kla. The 20-meter high waterfall is similar to the famous Heaw Suwat Waterfall in Khao Yai National Park, although it’s smaller. The large pool below the splash is perfect for enjoying water playing.

6. Pha Lad Waterfall

The waterfall is lower from the location of Huai Nam Sai Ranger Unit, to access the site has to cut through the Hmong Tribe Village in Ban Huai Nam Sai. From there is the path that leads to the dam that is a hydropower plant and about 2 km from the junction get the left lane and walks more 50 meters you will arrive at the destination. Even though it’s not high waterfall but large waterway with full of water all through the year, therefore the hydropower plant established nearby the site.

7. Tad Fa Waterfall

One of the highest waterfalls in Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. However, there’s no proper route to access the fall, currently. Any tourist who would like to visit Tad Fa Waterfall needs to walk along the laterite road in about a kilometer and go on foot in the wood for more 300 meters. Once you hear the sound of splash from afar, keep walking for a moment, and you will arrive at the upper part of the fall. To witness the true beauty of Tad Fa Waterfall, you have to climb down along the narrow way to the best spot where you can see the magnificent performance of the splash soars from the cliff. Just so you know, Tad Fa Waterfall also called in the native language is “Dan – Go Sang Waterfall” which means a checking point of the Communist Party of Thailand that is a clump of bamboo.

By Car:

The direction to go to Phu Hin Rong Kla is optional, anyhow the favorite one is highway number 12 route Phitsanulok – Lom Sak to Ban Yaeng Trisection that you will see a sign to go to the right lane. Then, you cross Ban Huai Teen Tang, Ban Huai Nam Sai, Patcharin Base, and enter Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. It is approximately 31 km in the distance.

Another favorite route is from Phetchabun on road number 21, crosses Lom Sak, Lom Kao district, and Ban Wang Barn, Ban Muaeng Baeng, and Ban Thab Burk and you will reach the destination. The way is about 104 km in the estimate, and also, it’s a steep and curvy lane that the driver should be conscientious.
